Living on campus is a great way to get connected with your peers, and to engage with our clubs, organizations, and events. Students who live more than 30 miles away from the college are required to live on campus for their freshman, sophomore, and junior years while at AIC. For more information on the residency requirement, please click the link above.

Should you find that you'd like to change your housing assignment, please submit the Room Change Request Form. We will be glad to offer all options available to you. Please know that options may be limited by the number of beds available in a residence hall, or the waitlist we currently have.

Residency Requirement Waiver Request:

If you do not qualify for commuter status, you may request a Residency Requirement Waiver.

Requests are reviewed by the Waiver and Accommodations Committee on a rolling basis. Most requests can expect a response within 5 business days unless the College is closed or member of the committee are experiencing a high-volume of calls for support.

Meal Plan Waiver or Reduction:

All undergraduate students living on campus are required to carry a meal plan. Students may request a waiver or a reduction to their current meal plan. All requests are reviewed by the Office of Residence Life, the Center for Accessibility Services and Academic Accommodations, the Student Accounts Office, and the Financial Aid Office.
