COMPLETE MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

We’re excited to introduce our new login system, which will streamline your access to campus applications. You must complete the Multi-Factor Authentication to have access to many of the app you use regularly including Email, Canvas, MyAIC, TimesheetX, AIC|Connect, and Adirondack (Housing).

To ensure a smooth transition, please follow the steps below:

1. Complete Multi-Factor Authentication: Ensure you're set up for added security by visiting http://aka.ms/mfasetup and following the instructions with your AIC email and password. Please note that you won’t be able to access your account without completing this step. You are required to enter a cell phone number to receive the authentication code each time you access the system. You will need your phone with you every time you access one of the systems using this level of security.

2. New Login Portal: The new link replaces the former start.aic.edu menu. Access your applications at https://myapps.microsoft.com/ using your AIC email and password. Look for AIC logos to confirm you're on the right track. You should see a page that looks similar to this:

3. Need Assistance? Our IT Helpdesk is here to help. Reach out at 413-205-3402 or IT.helpdesk@aic.edu. We have created a page in the portal about the changes, go to this site for all the information - Change to Microsoft Single Sign On.  On that site, there are several helpful "How-To" guides to assist you with setting up your new authentication methods.

Invitation to AIC Veterans Day Ceremony Nov. 12

Join us as AIC and the Veterans Alumni Committee honor those who served our country at the annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 12, at 11:00 a.m. in the Schwartz Campus Center Auditorium (CCA).

A tradition at AIC, the Veterans Day ceremony honors those who have served our country. Sponsored by AIC’s multigenerational Alumni Veterans Committee—composed of alumni spanning more than fifty years—this annual event brings the campus community together in remembrance.

Senior Airman (SrA) Adriana Natasha Tavarez, a recent addition to the U.S. Air Force Reserve, will serve as the keynote speaker. SrA Tavarez took her oath of enlistment shortly before turning forty. Now, with over two years of service, her story highlights bold choices and new beginnings, demonstrating resilience in military life and proving that it's never too late to begin a chapter of transformative service.

In addition to the keynote address, the program includes several tributes, including the Missing Man Table presentation by Westover Air Reserve Base. Interim AIC President Nicole Cestero will recognize Outstanding Veteran Alumna Beth Dion ’93, and retired AIC Professor Gary Lefort, U.S. Army, will present the Admiral Hines Pin to graduating seniors Lantaben Williams ’25, U.S. Army, and Lillie Kaempfe, ’25, Missouri National Guard.
The ceremony will conclude with the reading of It Is the Soldier by Douglas Mattson ’70, a wreath presentation by the Veterans Alumni Committee, and the playing of Taps.
To assist in event planning, guests are encouraged to register at www.aic.edu/veteransday

We sincerely hope to see you there.

From the Veterans Alumni Committee

The AIC Veterans Alumni Committee is looking to expand its membership! Our mission is to honor, support, and recognize AIC students who have returned from deployment or been on active military duty.

We meet monthly on Zoom to engage our alumni who are near and far!

Each year, the committee sponsors an annual Veterans Day Ceremony with a moment of recognition for graduating student veterans, supports the campus Veterans Resource Center, and advances other initiatives aligned with our mission.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Students to Host Free Gross Motor Group Sessions for Children

Families in the Springfield area are invited to participate in Gross Motor Group Sessions hosted by third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students at American International College (AIC) and their instructors. The sessions are designed to help improve children’s gross motor skills through a series of guided exercises and activities.

AIC is seeking up to fifteen participants between the ages of three months and fifteen years whose families are interested in addressing gross motor skill development. The program will consist of four free 45-minute Wednesday sessions, taking place on October 23 and 30, as well as November 6 and 13, from 3:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The sessions will be held at AIC’s Colaccino Center for Health Sciences at 1020 State Street in Springfield.

Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy MaryAnn Kniska, PT, DPT, encourages families to participate if they have concerns about their child's movement or gross motor development, which includes skills like crawling, walking, stairs, and jumping. “These sessions are ideal for families looking to support their child’s ability to perform large muscle movements essential for daily activities,” said Dr. Kniska." We ask that participants be available for all four sessions so we can assess the child’s function and offer activities that will help enhance their abilities."

For more information or to register, please contact AIC’s Physical Therapy Department by calling 413-205-3046 or by emailing Kristin.cerasa@aic.edu.

AIC students, faculty, and staff are given a general AIC account for use with email, network access, campus computers, and many other things. This account is also used to log in to myAIC.

AIC former students who do not currently have an AIC account may contact the Alumni Office.

Anyone having trouble with their AIC account may Contact the Help Desk.
