SUMMER HOUSING DATES:
Sunday, May 12th to Friday, August 9th.

Students move into Fall assignments in August and still are charged for Summer Housing.

SUMMER HOUSING LOCATION: Pouch Hall
Pouch Hall is a traditional-style residence hall outfitted with double rooms, floor-shared bathrooms, a community kitchen/social lounge, and a laundry room. On-site parking is available nearby.


STUDENTS LIVING ON CAMPUS DURING THE SPRING 2024 TERM:
If you are a student who lives/lived on campus in the Spring 2024 term, and you need on-campus housing between May 8th and May 11th, please complete the "Late Move Out/Summer Housing" application in the MyHousing Portal.

If you need housing between May 12th and August 9th you will need to complete the "Late Move Out/Summer Housing" application, in the MyHousing Portal. These students will stay in their Spring 2024 housing assignment between May 8th and May 11th, and then they will move into their summer housing assignment after May 22nd.

SUMMER HOUSING RATES*

Single Room - at student's request $175 per week
Double Room - with roommate at student's request $125 per week
Nightly Rate (when student is staying 3 or less nights Saturday to Sunday) $45 per night

*Summer billing is processed during the summer term.


REASONS FOR REQUESTING SUMMER HOUSING:

Summer classes, internships, or clinical/field study

No charge for undergraduate students who are taking summer classes. Students will need to have their registration verified to qualify.

  • Example 1: If an undergraduate student fails a class in the spring and must retake it over the summer, they will have to pay for the class, but not the housing.
  • Example 2: If an undergraduate student wants to take a class, they’ll need in the fall early to get it out of the way, they will have to pay for the class, but not the housing.
Summer Work Program - Working Off Campus

AIC is launching a Summer Work Program to allow students to pay off some of their student account bill while living on-campus for free. Students interested in participating in the Summer Work Program can learn more and apply online HERE.

On-Campus Work Study Position

No charge if approved for a housing waiver. Contact your on-campus work-study supervisor about the housing waiver process. If you want a single, you will pay for the difference.

Athletic camps or training No charge during date ranges of active practice/conditioning/competition.
Staying on campus otherwise will result in the charges listed above.

How to move in to summer housing all depends on WHEN you are moving in. Please read the following carefully:
Any student moving into Summer Housing for the first time between May 12th to August 9th will be able to do so at any time, however, the process is different depending on the time of day you are arriving:

Monday thru Thursday, 9:00am to 4:00pm:
Visit the Office of Residence Life, located on the second floor of the Schwartz Campus Center to pick up your room key.

Friday, 9:00am to Noon:
Visit the Office of Residence Life, located on the second floor of the Schwartz Campus Center to pick up your room key.

Friday at Noon to Monday at 9:00am:
Visit the Campus Police Department, located in Hines Hall on main campus to pick up your key.

After-hours, Friday at Noon to Monday at 9:00am:
Visit the Campus Police Department, located in Hines Hall on main campus to pick up your room key.

 

You are a NEW AIC student without a student ID -OR- a current student who’s lost their ID:

SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION:
All students enrolled at AIC can apply for Summer Housing. Follow these steps to submit your request:

1.) Login to the MyHousing Portal using your AIC credentials.
If you have trouble logging in, or if you receive an error message, please contact the IT HelpDesk at 413-205-3402

2.) Click "Application" on the top left of the page and select the "Late Move-out/Summer Housing 2024" application.


3.) Read through the AIC Housing Agreement as all policies, procedures, and expectations are in effect during the summer break. 
This includes all drug/alcohol policies, quiet hour policies, and prohibited items.

4.) Complete the application until you receive a confirmation message and email. 


APPLICATION DUE DATES & LATE APPLICATION FEES:
Students requesting to start living in Summer Housing on May 12th must submit their Summer Housing Application by May 3rd at 11:59pm. Late applications will result in a non-refundable $100 Late Application Fee.


Students requesting to start living in Summer Housing after May 12th must submit their Summer Housing Application at least 5 business days prior to their arrival to campus. Late applications will result in a non-refundable $100 Late Application Fee.

Need to Move In Early?

Students are not generally permitted to arrive to campus before the designated move-in period. A roster of approved athletes in pre-season will be provided by fall coaches, and a list of approved student employees will be provided by on-campus supervisors. The Office of Residence Life only allows other students to move in early if there are extenuating circumstances. Students arriving to campus early will be charged $45 per night unless they are on the approved early arrival athlete or student employee list.
