The AI Career Bots are here to support you in teaching students valuable career-related skills rather than having the tools complete tasks for them. These bots offer a fun and intuitive way to assist students in discovering career paths, refining their skills, and getting personalized advice. However, it is essential to emphasize that these tools should complement, not replace, the student’s own efforts.
Encourage students to leverage the AI Career Bots as drafting tools—resources to begin their documents and gain insights, but remind them that the final result should always reflect their own skills, experience, and personal voice. Employers are increasingly aware of AI-generated content, and submitting unmodified AI-generated resumes or cover letters may raise concerns about the student’s authenticity.
AI Career Bots created by the Saremi Center:
Career Compass — Upload any combination of TWO of the following: interests inventory, skills assessment, work values assessment, and learning styles assessment, to find the top 10 career positions for you.
Identify Matching Positions — Upload your resume and find the 10 most appropriate entry-level positions that match your skills, experience, and qualifications.
Identify Missing Keywords from Resume — Upload your resume and enter a job title to find: 1) the most important skills/ keywords for that job, and 2) which skills/keywords are missing from your resume.
Draft a Resume Summary — Upload your resume and watch the bot DRAFT a summary that reflects your skills, experience, and education for your review and modification.
Create Better Job Duty Bullet Points — Upload your resume and watch this bot re-write your job duty bullet points to enhance your resume.
Condense your Resume — Resume too long? Upload your resume, paste in a job description, and watch this bot generate a condensed version of your resume (no more than 2 pages) while retaining the most important/relevant skills and experience for the position.
Identify the Hiring Manager — Enter a job title, job description, employer, and city/state to find the most likely title of the hiring manager for the position.
Draft a Cover Letter — Provide the recipient information, paste in the job description, attach your resume and watch this bot DRAFT a cover letter for your review and modification.
Below are a few more AI bots developed by Jeremy Schifeling:
Career Bot 3000 — Find appropriate job titles based on your priorities and resume; then find employers, keywords, and get resume and interview advice based on a job title and location.
Profile Bot 4k — Evaluate the quality of your LinkedIn profile.
InterviewBot 5000 — Paste in a job description and your resume, and this bot will allow you to practice some relevant interview questions, get feedback, and continue the conversation like a mock interview (albeit with a robot).
