Establishing Yourself and Building Connections

Joining professional associations is a key part of career development, offering students access to industry insights, networking opportunities, and professional growth. Many organizations have student-based memberships or chapters that allow you to connect with peers, mentors, and professionals while you're still in school, helping you build relationships early on. These associations provide resources such as conferences, certifications, job boards, and mentorship programs, giving you a competitive edge in your field. By joining student-based professional associations, you’re not only investing in your education but also setting yourself up for long-term career success.

In this section, we have curated lists of professional associations related to majors in each of AIC's three schools: Business, Arts, and Sciences; Education; and Health Sciences.
