Search Results

Results for
  • Results will be returned that contain all of the terms entered. For example searching for bus schedule would return anything that contains both bus and schedule in any order but not only bus or schedule by themselves.
  • Searching while you are within a course or group will return results found within that course or group. If there are no results within the course or group you will be shown results for your term from everywhere.
  • You can use + or - to include or exclude search results. For example, the search +schedule -bus will return results that contain the word schedule but not the word bus.
  • Put a word or phrase in quotes to find exact matches. Searching for "bus schedule" will search for the exact phrase bus schedule with no other words between those two.
  • You can add * at the end of a term to find results that start with that term. Searching for book* will return results for book, books, bookmark, and bookmarks. (You can also add * in the middle of a term)
  • Common words such as and, the and of are excluded from the search. To force them to be included, put a + in front of them.
  • The characters && || ! ( ) { } [ ] ^ ~ * ? : \ have special functions and aren’t searched for. If you need to find results that include one of those, you can put a \ in front of it and it will be searched for like a regular character. For example Abbott \& Costello or Who’s on first\?

Students who live more than 30 miles away from the college are required to live on campus for their freshman, sophomore, and junior years while at AIC.     Should you find that you'd like to change your housing assignment, please submit the Room Change Request Form. We will be glad to offer all options available to you. Please know that options may be limited by the number of beds available in a residence hall, or the waitlist we currently have.

    Residence Life Waiver Request
    Residency Requirement Waiver Request: If you do not qualify for commuter status, you may request a Residency Requirement Waiver. Students who do not qualify to live off campus are students who: Are a freshman, sophomore, or junior by credits (have 87 or less credits) by the first day of the fall semester - AND: Have a permanent address with a parent or guardian that is more than 30 miles from AIC's Springfield, MA campus - AND/OR: Are under 23 years old by the first day of the fall semester - AND/OR: Have not live on campus for 3+ years by the first day of the fall semester - AND/OR: Do not live with spouse, or is legally responsible for a child or other family dependent Requests are reviewed by the Waiver and Accommodations Committee on a rolling basis. Most requests can expect a response within 5 business days unless the College is closed or member of the committee are experiencing a high-volume of calls for support.   Meal Plan Waiver or Reduction: All undergraduate students living on campus are required to carry a meal plan. Students may request a waiver or a reduction to their current meal plan. All requests are reviewed by the Office of Residence Life, the Center for Accessibility Services and Academic Accommodations, the Student Accounts Office, and the Financial Aid Office. Waiver or reductions are not guaranteed upon request and may require additional follow-up.

    Commuter students interested in purchasing a meal plan may do so by using the link above! Meal plans offered include: 7 Day Unlimited Meal Plan, with $300 Dining Dollars 14 Meals per Week Meal Plan, with $200 Dining Dollars 125 Meals per Semester Meal Plan, with $200 Dining Dollars 75 Meals per Semester Meal Plan, with $100 Dining Dollars 30 Meals Per Semester Meal Plan, with $200 Dining Dollars Special Notes: Dining Dollars may be used in the Hive food court in the Campus Center. Commuter Meal Plans must be purchased every semester; they do not roll over from semester to semester. Request a meal plan here!

    Roommate Cleaning Agreements
    It is the residents' responsibility to clean and maintain their housing assignment on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. This includes, but is not limited to: Making your bed, and keeping personal belongings tidy. Disposing of trash in the designated disposal spaces. Washing laundry and bed linens. Washing dishes after use. Sweeping and mopping floors. Cleaning commons spaces in suites and apartments. Please use the Cleaning Agreement Form for your room type so that you and your roommates may organize who will be responsible for shared chores and cleaning.

If you fall under one of the following categories, you may apply for a Residency Requirement Waiver: You live with your parent(s) or guardian(s) within 30 miles of AIC You are a legally responsible party for dependent children or other family members You live with your spouse You need special housing due to a physical disability that AIC cannot reasonably accommodate
