AIC faculty expert discusses what is an inquest? An alternative to an independent investigation in Mikayla Miller case

In its preliminary findings into the death of 16-year-old Mikayla Miller of Hopkinton, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said the teen took her own life. Her mother, Calvina Strothers, and others say that didn't happen and have called for an independent investigation into the girl's death.

David Kuzmeski, an associate professor of criminal justice at American International College said Miller's family and advocates could also obtain some of the answers they're looking for through an official inquest. Professor Kuzmeski discusses what an inquest is with MetroWest Daily News. The story also appeared in Wicked Local-Shrewsbury
