AIC Promotes Cory Schneider to Associate Head Coach

American International College Head Ice Hockey Coach Eric Lang announced Tuesday that Cory Schneider has been elevated to the role of Associate Head Coach. Schneider has served as an assistant coach since August 2019, and the program’s success has been unparalleled in its history in that time. The team won its second-straight league title. The 2020-21 season was even more dominant. The Yellow Jackets swept the AHA Tournament to retain the Jack Riley Memorial Trophy and advance to the NCAA Tournament for the second time.

Individual success has followed team success with Schneider’s coaching acumen; in 2021 AIC dominated the league awards, with Stefano Durante earning the league’s Goaltending Champion title, Justin Cole taking the Individual Sportsmanship Award and Tournament MVP, Chris Dodero taking the league’s Best Defensive Forward title, and Brennan Kapcheck earning Best Defenseman and Player of the Year to go with AIC’s first-ever Division I First-Team All-American selection.
