Three Guam women are on the American International College women’s rugby team which won the Division II National Intercollegiate Rugby Association championship Nov. 21 in New York. The AIC Yellow Jackets beat West Chester 29-17, concluding its 15th season with an 8-2 record. Joanne Alvarez, Keiani Pangelinan and Sheila Sarmiento — all former high school rugby standouts on Guam — now have a collegiate championship to add on their resumes.
