Texting, drinking, or drugged driving simulator event held at AIC

An impaired driving simulator was set up at American International College on April 21 as part of Spring Week events. UNITE’s "Arrive Alive Tour" is the nation’s number-one ranked drunk and distracted driving awareness event, as well as the first-and-only marijuana driving simulator in the country. The event uses a high-tech, state-of-the-art simulator that allows students to drive while distracted, drunk, or drugged in a fully functioning vehicle without moving or being intoxicated. “The Arrive Alive Tour” has visited numerous colleges, high schools, government agencies and more throughout the country. They leave behind a national highway safety message, drivers under 20 have the highest proportion of distraction-related deadly accidents. This story aired on WWLP-22News.
