AIC sophmore receives Vigneault scholarship

Rose McCaffery, a sophomore at American International College (AIC) has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship named in memory of former state Rep. David Vigneault. Vigneault, an AIC alum, was a prominent figure when it came to social justice. In 1966 he was arrested for joining the Freedom Riders to advocate for the registration of Black voters. This scholarship honors Vigneault, a state representative from Springfield and humanitarian, who dedicated his entire life to activism and public service.
