RESIDENCE HALLS CLOSING
Residence Halls Close at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024and reopen at 10:00 AM on Sunday, December 1, 2024.Please make your travel arrangements now to avoid missing the closing deadline.Tuesday classes will still be in session.If you have a Tuesday evening class we are not encouraging you to miss it, please fill out the Thanksgiving Break Housing Application for an extension.
BREAK HOUSINGIf you wish to reside on campus over the break for any reason you must fill out the Thanksgiving Break Housing Application.Students with Tuesday night classes that will need to stay past 6:00pm, but not overnight also need to fill out this application.CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR THANKSGIVING BREAK HOUSINGApplications are due by Wednesday, November 20, 2022 at 4:00 PM. There is a $175 fee to stay during Thanksgiving Break that will be added to your billing statement for Fall 2024.
Those exempt from this charge include:
· In-Season athletes participating in practice or competition during the break · Students enrolled in a required class or internship meeting during the break · Students working on campus with a shift during the break · Students with a Tuesday night class, but leaving by 10:30pm the night residence halls close

Any AIC student who does not apply for break housing must sign in when visiting an AIC student who has applied for break housing.Any AIC student who does submit the Thanksgiving (Fall) Break Housing Application but stays overnight during the break will be charged $45 for the night and $100 for not filling out the application ($145/night).

Before you leave for break, please make sure that you and your roommate(s):· Close and lock all windows· Close the blinds or window shades· Remove all open perishable foods· Sweep or vacuum all floors· Remove all prohibited items· Remove all trash and recycling from your room/suiteAll trash and recycling must be disposed of properly (bagged and tied) in your floor/hall's trash room.Resident(s) will be billed $25 per bag removed by staff after closing.These expectations must be followed to prevent pests and to ensure the security of your room.Residence Life Staff will be entering each room after closing to ensure that health,safety, and security precautions have been followed in rooms that will be vacant during the break.
Login to your MyHousing Portal to submit your Thanksgiving Break Housing Application by December 18th at 4:00 PM. Applications received after this deadline will receive a $50 late fee.
