Requesting a Voucher

  1. Finding Your Books and Estimating Costs:
    • Go to www.aic.edu/bookstore
    • Choose AIC Campus Store
    • Click the book icon at the top
    • Follow the directions to enter the semester and courses for which you wish to purchase books
    • Total the estimated book costs
    • You may click the button to print the list 
    • Do NOT submit your online order to the bookstore
  2. Submit your book voucher request form for the books that you wish to purchase with the voucher to Student Accounts.
    • Submit a total dollar amount for textbooks, including any shipping costs
    • Submit a total dollar amount for supplies (normally limited to $75)
  3. Your request will be reviewed by Student Accounts.
    • If approved, the voucher will be forwarded to the Campus Bookstore.
    • Please allow 24 hours for processing
    • Submit your book order at the bookstore and choose book voucher as the payment method
    • If Denied, you will be notified.
      • Reasons a voucher will be denied:
      • Vouchers are most often denied because there are insufficient funds on the student account to cover the requested book voucher.

Policies

Vouchers Can be Issued For:
  • Vouchers may be issued to students with an anticipated credit balance due to awarded financial aid.
  • Vouchers may only be used to purchase books and supplies (paper, pens, highlighters, etc.).
  • Vouchers may be requested prior to the beginning of the applicable semester.
Vouchers Can NOT  be Issued For:
  • Vouchers cannot be used for uniforms, equipment, non-course related items, or any other items that can reasonably be expected to be utilized for more than one term.
  • Vouchers will not be issued based on anticipated credits due to the monthly payment plan
  • At our discretion, vouchers may be denied to financial aid recipients who have not completed all required forms/procedures.
Federal Regulations:
 
Books and supplies purchased with a bookstore voucher qualify as educationally related expenses that may automatically be covered by Federal Student Aid. The charges associated with the use of a book voucher will be added to the student's account.
 
Federal Student Aid may consist of any of the following:
  • Direct PLUS Loans
  • Direct Subsidized Loans
  • Direct Unsubsidized Loans
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
  • Iraq and Afghanistan Grants
  • Pell Grants
  • Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grants
  • Work-Study Funds (if you requested any portion to be applied directly to your student account)

Federal Student Aid is awarded yearly and is subject to change from the U.S Department of Education. This policy meets federal requirements to provide a method for Pell eligible students with estimated credit balances from federal student aid to purchase books and supplies by the seventh day of a payment period.
